Mission & Vision

Rooted in Greenland. Professional insight. Practical solutions for sport and leisure.

Mission

Sport Office Greenland strengthens the development of Greenlandic sport and leisure through professional consultancy, practical services, funding work and independent knowledge.

We turn local needs, clients’ experience and professional insight into well-prepared projects and useful solutions. We help clubs, institutions and other stakeholders access the capacity, financing and collaboration that make development possible.

We also develop and share knowledge to improve decisions and make professional support more accessible, including for smaller clubs and people with limited resources.

Vision

A Greenland where more people can participate in sport and active communities, and where local initiatives have the knowledge, resources and capacity to develop.

Sport Office Greenland aims to be a trusted Greenlandic knowledge and service organisation with international reach. We connect local needs with professional insight, practical solutions and relevant collaborators, contributing to Greenland’s ambition to become the world’s most physically active country.

Two measures of success

Financial sustainability

We build a stable financial foundation through professional services, sponsorships, partnerships and relevant funded activities. This should support fair payment, high quality and continued development.

Social value

We work towards stronger organisations, better projects, more accessible knowledge and more opportunities to participate in sport and leisure.

These aims support each other. Income should enable lasting value, while activities serving the community must be delivered on a financially responsible basis.

Our work

Professional services

We support funding research, financing strategies, applications, project development and management, sponsorships and partnerships.

Practical assignments include equipment, procurement, supplier contact, logistics, international participation and administration. Sport and leisure guidance combines advice with practical mentoring for children, young people and families.

Knowledge and independent analysis

We communicate relevant existing knowledge and develop our own studies, analyses, guides and professional activities. Work is based on documented sources, transparent methods and Greenlandic conditions.

Professional conclusions should stand independently, including when they concern clients, collaborators or funders.

Our own development projects

We develop a knowledge platform, digital project and funding tools, analysis activities and funded services for smaller organisations with limited resources.

Projects proceed with clear goals, separate budgets and documented results when funding and the necessary expertise are available.

Our role

Sport Office is an independent, project-oriented business providing additional capacity for practical challenges. We collaborate with sports organisations, public institutions, businesses and knowledge environments while respecting their independent roles and responsibilities.

Greenland is our primary focus. Work can be carried out from Greenland and Denmark and through Nordic and international collaboration.

Our principles

Greenlandic relevance

We start with local conditions, experience and needs.

Professional independence

We work objectively and make significant interests and funding transparent.

Practical usefulness

Our knowledge and products should support decisions and action.

Quality and responsibility

We document the foundations, check final products and take responsibility for our work.

Participation

We develop solutions with the people who will use them.

Learning by doing

We connect knowledge with practical experience so projects also build participants’ skills.

Future direction

Sport Office currently operates as a personally owned business with a social enterprise purpose.

When a sound financial and organisational foundation is in place, the aim is to continue the work in an independent legal structure supporting social enterprise.

The intended direction is an organisation that reinvests profit in its purpose, pays people fairly for their work and documents both financial results and social value.
